Title: Application Security Architect
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire

Summary:
We are seeking an Application Security Specialist with expertise in CMMC encryption requirements for government systems. This role focuses on architecting secure applications while ensuring compliance with stringent government security standards. The ideal candidate will develop security policies, conduct audits, and collaborate with development teams to implement encryption best practices. This position is architecture-focused rather than implementation-based and involves monitoring, auditing, and ensuring compliance with global security frameworks.
 
Responsibilities:

• Application Security Implementation: Ensure applications adhere to security best practices, conduct security reviews, and perform threat modeling.
• Encryption Compliance for Government Systems: Implement encryption strategies in line with CMMC, NIST, and FedRAMP requirements.
• Working closely with application developers to gather requirements and develop applications.
• Ensure that traffic is properly encrypted as it transfers between COI and non-COI zones.
• Develop and enforce security policies aligned with the CMMC framework.
• Monitor and audit security compliance across cloud environments and applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
• Guide stakeholders on security strategies, compliance, and risk management.

 
Job Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of experience in application security, encryption, and compliance.
• Knowledge of COI zones: isolation & security, access control, custom compliance policies, data sovereignty, etc.,
• Strong knowledge of CMMC requirements and their application in securing cloud-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with encryption technologies such as TLS/SSL, AES, RSA, ECC, and government compliance frameworks.
