ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer with a strong foundation in Core Java (multithreading) and Spring frameworks to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants to have a meaningful impact by building tools and automation around application performance monitoring (APM).

You’ll work with high levels of autonomy and ownership , collaborating across teams to design creative solutions for proactive incident management, alerting systems, and reporting automation. THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will develop and maintain backend systems using Core Java and Spring/Spring Batch, while building and supporting microservices architectures deployed on Kubernetes. You will enhance and automate monitoring and alerting systems tied to APM tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design new solutions that improve performance visibility and overall system health. In addition to managing production incidents and supporting reporting automation, you’ll contribute to proactive solutions—potentially leveraging machine learning—to reduce noise in alerting. This role also involves working across multiple systems and tools to consolidate and analyze operational data, and participating in the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and design to development, deployment, and support.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java, including multithreading
  • Expertise in Spring and Spring Batch
  • Experience with microservices development and deployment
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Strong understanding of APM tools such as New Relic, Datadog, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace, with experience in configuring dashboards, setting up alerts, and analyzing application performance in production
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with or within Apple’s ecosystem or using Apple-specific technologies
• Frontend experience with ReactJS or Angular
• Exposure to machine learning concepts and their application to system monitoring
• Past work in a high-ownership, fast-iteration environment with cross-functional collaboration
