ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
Join a cutting-edge team building frameworks and SDKs for machine learning development tools. The current focus is on extending their interactive Jupyter notebook-based development environment—where users can build, train, and debug AI models with real-time feedback via chat windows—into Visual Studio Code.
As a core contributor, you'll help replicate and enhance this experience directly within VS Code, enabling ML engineers to seamlessly integrate, run, and debug AI workflows using custom-built extensions and plugins. This is a developer tooling role—not UI—focused on building sophisticated internal tools.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

• Build and extend Visual Studio Code plugins and extensions to support machine learning development
• Integrate ML-specific frameworks and SDKs into VS Code for streamlined training and debugging
• Enable command-line and notebook interactions directly from the IDE
• Develop features such as in-notebook chat windows and real-time tool integrations
• Work closely with Python- and TypeScript-heavy systems in a full-stack context
• Collaborate with an advanced engineering team focused on dev productivity and AI tooling

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

1. VS Code Extension Development:
   Proven experience building Visual Studio Code extensions and plugins, especially for internal developer tools.
2. Full-Stack Engineering with Python & TypeScript:
   Strong programming skills in both Python and TypeScript, with the ability to work across the stack.
3. SDK Integration & API Communication:
   Hands-on experience integrating SDKs, calling APIs, and building tooling that connects front-end and back-end systems.
